Gerard Connel

Local artist, Gerard J. Connell, showed his work at Teas Landscape Office in August 2000. He is a member of the Houston Civic Arts Association. Connell is a student of Billie Barnes at the HCAA Gallery. A retiree for the past 8 ½ years, Connell started as an evening student 14 years ago. He prefers painting with oils and particularly enjoys copying the American Impressionists of 100 years ago. A native of New York, “Gerry” and his family moved to Houston with his employer in 1970.

Teas Nursery is inviting a different artist each month to exhibit selected pieces of their work in the Teas Landscape Office at 4400 Bellaire Blvd., just inside the West Loop. The pictures will be on view from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
