INVITES SHUTTER BUGS TO ENTER ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST BELLAIRE
If you think you have visited some of the most beautiful
gardens in the world, or have one in your own backyard,
perhaps you have taken a prize-winning photograph to enter
into the annual Teas Nursery Amateur Photo Contest. Not
just flowers, but also landscapes and gardens are the subjects
of this year's contest. Photos will be accepted through
April. 30. "For inspiration, last year's winners can be
viewed at www.teasnursery.com/PhotoContest07.htm," said
Paul Downs, photo contest coordinator. First prize is a
$100 Teas gift certificate; second prize, $50 Teas gift
certificate and 10 Judge's Awards of $25 gift certificates
each. Prices will be awarded on May 10 and winning photos
will be posted on Teas website and in the Garden Center.
"This year we have invited Charlotte Aguilar, editor of
the Examiner Newspaper Group of Houston Community Newspapers,
to be one of the three judges. The other judges are Teas
Nursery employees who are experts at beautiful flowers and
landscapes," added Downs. Photos (either prints or high-resolution
digital) will be accepted through April 30, 2008, by mail
(P.O. Box 1603 Bellaire, TX 77402-1603) or email to paul.downs@teasnursery.com.
They will be judged on photo composition and quality of
the flowers or landscapes. Other rules are below or call

RULES
Flowers, gardens, and landscapes are
the subjects accepted for the contest.
Total prizes for all awards
$400 in Teas Gift Certificates.
Rules: Photos may be prints or high quality digital
files. The rights to the image must be owned by the entrant.
Photos may be edited as long as the components are property
of the entrant. All entries become property of Teas Nursery
and cannot be returned.
Credit to the photographer will be given for any photos
published by Teas. Up to 3 entries per person accepted.
Photos, disks, slides, and E-mail messages should be marked
with the name, address, and phone number of the entrant.
Digital files can be submitted on CD’s. Digital files
may also be E-mailed to teas@teasnursery.com
(high resolution JPG recommended, up to 5 megabytes in size)
Contest entry blanks may be printed from here
or may be picked up at the store. Submit your entries by
April 30, 2008 to Teas Nursery attn. Paul Downs or mail
to Teas Nursery, PO Box 1603, Bellaire, TX 77402-1603.
